Construction in occupied labs poses unique challenges for active lab users and construction teams. Coordinating access and maintaining operations can be challenging, but Northstar’s experienced teams have found strategic solutions that alleviate the impact on both teams.

During the summer, we had the pleasure of introducing Olivia Pedro to our team. Currently in her senior year and pursuing a major in management at Bentley University, Olivia joined Northstar through the CREST program. We took the opportunity to sit down with Olivia and gain insights into her experience as a part of our Northstar team throughout the summer.

A structural engineer by trade, Jim joined Northstar with an extensive background in the design and construction of commercial and residential ground up developments throughout Boston.
This past weekend twelve Northstar employees had their first foray as participants in the Fenway Park Spartan Stadion 5K race. Our participation in the race was organized by Northstar’s Charitable Giving Committee with a donation going to the American Cancer Society.
Veteran’s Day dates to 1919 and is dedicated to honoring our nation’s military veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Northstar celebrated its 12th anniversary by throwing a casino-themed bash for the team.
Team Northstar knows its way around a construction site, but we aren’t usually the ones swinging a hammer, pick or sledgehammer and doing the actual building.
On a warm fall morning, ten team members had the opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston, where we worked on a home as part of The First Malden Habitat Homes in Malden, Massachusetts. Our tasks on this day were assisting with framing walls for the house, setting wall panels, and grading an area to receive a garage slab.
