Working with Harvard University Housing and Peabody Terrace Property Managers, across a span of 10 years Northstar has provided project management services for capital and opex projects for this historic housing complex. Projects have ranged from common area renovations and amenity spaces, to larger complex wide upgrades of kitchens and bathrooms in 500 occupied units. Northstar has managed utility, life safety systems and building envelope upgrade projects, including a 5-year façade stabilization and restoration project which required substantial coordination with EPA and DEP. Highrise roof replacements, air handling systems replacement, and plumbing infrastructure upgrades have all been completed in recent years in alignment with goals towards long term asset preservation. Northstar has also implemented thoughtful community playgrounds throughout the complex geared towards families of various ages that call Peabody Terrace home.
