The Skating Club of Boston (The Club) is a leader in advancing participation, education, and excellence in skating for people of all ages, abilities, and means.
The Club is a not-for-profit and has operated in the state of Massachusetts since 1912. With over 800 active members, The Club outgrew its current facility. Northstar functioned as the owner’s development project manager, having hired the team to design, permit, and construct the new state-of-the-art facility in Norwood, MA.
The Club features three ice rinks, including a performance center seating 2,500 people, off-ice training, and amenity spaces. Northstar was instrumental in successfully navigating the permitting and entitlement of this former golf course site. Construction began in Spring 2019 and the project was delivered in October 2020.
