Northstar Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity Build Day

Team Northstar knows its way around a construction site, but we aren’t usually the ones swinging a hammer, pick or sledgehammer and doing the actual building.

On a warm fall morning, ten team members had the opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston, where we worked on a home as part of The First Malden Habitat Homes in Malden, Massachusetts. Our tasks on this day were assisting with framing walls for the house, setting wall panels, and grading an area to receive a garage slab.

Being part of Build Day was a fantastic experience for our team and an excellent opportunity for us to work in the field. We truly enjoyed giving back to the community and having a small part in building houses for families in need. As our Northstar team leader, Pat Burns, says, radiate good vibes.
