Harvard University’s SFP Building 2 Achieves LEED Gold Certification

Northstar Project and Real Estate Services is pleased to announce that Harvard University Housing’s Soldiers Field Park Building 2 was recently awarded LEED Gold for Commercial Interiors by the USGBC.

The comprehensive renovation of the 176,000 square foot, 192 unit graduate student apartment building is the third phase of a four phase, multi-year renewal program of the 470 unit complex. The project features significant envelope improvements including installation of replacement windows with improved thermal performance, Energy Star appliances, energy efficient LED Lighting, low flow plumbing fixtures, and a variety of other sustainability features. In addition, the project has exceeded the University’s goal for the use of heathier building materials.
