Completion of The Residence Inn by Marriott

Congratulations to The Procaccianti Companies, Vision 3 Architects, Gilbane Building Company, and Northstar for the completion of The Residence Inn by Marriott, a 170K square-foot, 176 key hotel located in downtown Providence.

Northstar provided development management services for this new, ground-up, 9-story hotel in downtown Providence. Construction began in the spring of 2018 and was opened to guests in October 2019.

This new hotel was developed on the site of the old Fogarty Building on across Sabin Street from The Rhode Island Convention Center. The Residence Inn by Marriott is and extended stay hotel featuring in-unit amenity such as kitchens and living areas. The majority of the 176 guestrooms are studio-type apartments with the balance of the units consisting of 1-bedroom suites. The project includes a 6K square-foot retail space on the ground floor featuring a yet to be named tenant.
