Emmanuel College Opens New Residence Hall in Fenway!
September 2018
Congratulations to Emmanuel College, Elkus Manfredi Architects, John Moriarty & Associates, and Northstar for the completion of Julie Hall, a 327,387 square-foot, 692-bed residence hall located on the Fenway campus.
Northstar provided project management services for this new, sustainable, 18-story on-campus residential building at Emmanuel College. Construction began in the summer of 2016 and the residence hall was opened to students in August 2018.
This new student residence hall is constructed on land that was formerly underutilized by an aging dormitory. Bed count on the college-owned parcel increased from 220 to 690. The majority of the units are two-bedroom suites equipped with two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room, with the remainder being one-bedroom apartments. The new Julie Hall is also equipped with a variety of amenities, including multiple student lounges, a fitness center, a dance studio, a media room, and an event space on the 17th floor, as well as a Dunkin’ Donuts and a convenience store on the ground floor, all of which helps promote a team-oriented environment supporting the academic and social needs of all students.
