Lee Burneson
Principal
Lee is a seasoned industry professional with over 40 years of experience on complex real estate projects in the institutional, commercial, multifamily residential, life science, data center, tenant interior and civil sectors. Lee’s areas of expertise include permitting, below grade construction, heavy civil projects and master planning with projects and advisory assignments ranging in size from $5 to $300M.
His portfolio includes projects in the institutional, residential, commercial, life science and mission critical sectors with an aggregate volume in excess of $1.0B.
Lee earned his BSCE in Structural Engineering and his MSCE in Construction Engineering and Management at Purdue University and prior to founding Northstar, he owned and operated Northeast Project Management.
Lee’s charitable organizations include Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fund Raising Events such as Light the Night, and he is a member of the Nature Conservancy and local nonprofit related land trust organizations.
His hobbies include cycling, hiking, kayaking, whitewater rafting and travel. In 2019 Lee was a member of a six-person team that hike to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro as part of fund-raising expedition “Climb 2 Cure” through the LLS Foundation.
