Northstar Celebrates Danica Woo’s 5-Year Anniversary
January 2026
Northstar is proud to celebrate Danica Woo’s five-year anniversary with the firm.
Since joining Northstar, Danica has brought her background in design and construction to her role as an owner’s project manager, with a strong focus on higher education projects. She began her career at Northstar working on the Harvard University Housing (HUH) team, where she built a strong foundation in managing complex academic and residential projects.
After three successful years on the HUH team, Danica transitioned to Northstar’s Dartmouth College client team, supporting Dartmouth’s long-term vision to deliver 1,000 new beds for students, faculty, and staff over the next decade. She initially served as project manager for the 285-bed Russo Hall project during the planning, design, and permitting phases and then transitioned to a similar role helping drive the 37-43 West Wheelock projects. This apartment-style student housing project will provide approximately 405 new beds and is scheduled for delivery in Summer 2028.
Danica and the broader Northstar team are functioning as an extension of the College’s Project Management Services Team and collaborate daily across all of Dartmouth’s internal stakeholder groups to help ensure these important projects meet the College’s long-term needs. She also plays an important role supporting the vision of the College’s undergraduate housing leadership team, whose stewardship and expertise drive these complex projects forward and set a powerful example for women in construction at all levels. Danica brings a fully engaged, hands-on design approach, helping ensure the College’s vision and stakeholder feedback are captured in the final designs. She is fully embedded at the College and brings a clear communication style and ability to navigate the complexities of large institutional environments.
What excites Danica most about her role at Northstar is the opportunity to continue expanding her technical knowledge. Over the next several years, she is focused on deepening her understanding of building systems and engineering, allowing her to advise projects from an increasingly strategic and technical perspective.
Danica holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Experience Design with a minor in Psychology from Northeastern University. Outside of work, she enjoys coaching volleyball in a local cultural league and unwinding with a good book and a hot cup of tea.
Thank you, Danica, for your dedication, thoughtfulness, and contributions over the past five years. We look forward to all that you will continue to accomplish as part of the Northstar team.
